On-Site & Direct Park Access Glover Avenue Carpark: This is the most practical starting point for casual visitors. The carpark is accessed directly via Glover Avenue (the continuation of Currie Street) and sits right on the edge of the park trail loop. Adelaide High School Front Carpark: Located on West Terrace, this shared front parking area provides immediate access to the eastern boundary of the park near the school. Street Parking Restrictions (West Terrace & Surrounds) There is metered and timed street parking along West Terrace and surrounding city side-streets. Warning: The Adelaide City Council strictly monitors these zones, particularly on game days. Check the street signage carefully for time limits (ranging from 1 to 4 hours) to avoid infringement notices Nearby Paid Carparks (Short Walk) If the park's local spaces are entirely full, there are reliable off-street paid options within a 5-to-10-minute walk: PriPark Waymouth Street (300 Waymouth St): An open-air casual carpark located roughly 550 metres from Ellis Park. It has no height restrictions, allows night/weekend casual parking, and payments are managed digitally via the EasyPark app. UPark Grote Street (93 Grote St): A secure multi-level parking lot located further down Grote Street, ideal if you prefer undercover city parking before walking over.
